Why You Should Be My (Guilty Pleasure) Valentine

Oh my god. I love peanuts TOO!!!

I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me until yesterday morning to blog on Valentine’s Day.

What’s more of a guilty pleasure than an over-hyped, commercialized, pink-frosted holiday?!

C’mon.

Chocolate.

Flowers.

Stuffed animals (dressed as other animals).

Love.

Duh!

So, will you be my (guilty pleasure) Valentine?

Hmm. You’re not convinced. Tell you what. If you don’t feel like the ooey, gooey, warm and fuzzy Sir Schmoopie Bear of Snuggleton to my Madame Chocolate Bon-Bon of Cuddlesworth by the time you’re through reading this post, I will eat my weight in candy hearts (and everyone knows candy hearts blow).

Why You Should Be My (Guilty Pleasure) Valentine

1.) I made you this someecard:

2.) Uncle Jesse says so.

3.) I bake things…

...from scratch.

4.) Upon request, I will gladly summarize the “Breaking Dawn: Part 1” special features for you. With drawings.

Here’s a sneak peek:

It rained a lot.

5.) This video:

And finally…

6.) Because I love you almost as much as I love my husband my second husband myself.

So, what do you say? Still no?! What the deuce is your real Valentine doing that’s better than that kitten video? I love you a nine!

    1. Lor, you had me at “I ran 8 miles.” Wait. Wait. I have that all wrong. You had me at, “Will you help me shop for a date outfit?”

      Ah. Yes. That’s better. 😉

    1. Tee hee I have to admit that picture really gets me going, too. 🙂 Happy V-day!! I’m about to start watching Glee (waiting 15 minutes so I can fast forward through the commercials, LOL)!!

      1. Um…guys…those are chipmunks. I’m sure that will make you want to rethink the entire line of your comment, not-so-brave-blogger, and response, Jules.

        BTW, I am yours.

  1. The chipmunk photo at the top – have you been saving that one? It’s golden.

After careful consideration, and careful viewing of the German chocolate cake photo, I have concluded that yes. Yes, I will.

    1. I wish those chipmunks were my friends in real life.

Yes it is! My first ever German chocolate cake. I would like to tell you that it was a painless experience, but every [dirty] dish in my kitchen would suggest otherwise.

  2. You bake! Swoon.

I burn myself when I’m near an oven. You should see the scald on my ring finger from Sunday.

    Happy day!

    1. I suspect my desserts would be equally appealing in foreign lands like Canada, so you can leave the baking to me (maybe just help with the measurement conversions? ;))!

I hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s Day!

  3. OMG. Is that a German Chocolate Cake? That’s my fave. I had a crappy day last week and was on my way to Amy’s Bread to have that for dinner. But I ran into my husband on the street and he saved me. Except I’m still craving it. Like I’m craving those fuzzy cats in heart faces.

    1. I can’t believe how many people say that about German chocolate cake! I also can’t believe how involved the process [of making it] is, LOL For you, though, I might be willing to perform a baking encore 🙂
