Merry Christmas to All (But Mostly Me)!

Dear Cherry-Nosed Chipmunks,

This post came very close to being a review of the Yule Log offerings on Comcast OnDemand (Yule Dogs?! Hello! Awesome!). But really all I want to say is: I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! May it be filled with peace, laughter and love spiked egg nog, cold hard cash, and the satisfaction of looking better than all of your relatives.

My gift to you me? Why, a magical Christmas combo: my favorite holiday song, sung by the one and only, Second Husband:

Love and Snuggies,

  1. “…spiked egg nog, cold hard cash, and the satisfaction of looking better than all of your relatives…

Somehow I can envision only one of those happening to me. Sigh.

    Merry Christmas, Jules.

  2. Jules, here’s to cold, hard cash, woops, tidings and joy, during this season!

I received my slap bracelets yesterday! YEAH, and double-YEAH!! Have already taken some pics here in sunny California. More to follow.

    1. Merry Christmas, Byronic Man!! You can sing for me any day, but wearing slap bracelets also brightens my holiday. Literally. ‘Cause they’re so bright.

You have to laugh. It’s Christmas.

      1. Hey, my slap bracelet (s, plural) arrived in the mail yesterday, at my office, in the middle of an incredibly boring, back-to-work-after-Christmas day. Huzzah! There was much rejoicing. I’m going to enlist my youngest daughter’s help to try to photog one on our cat. May need to don my anti-kitty-scratch gear first.

        Thanks!

  3. #3 and #4 did a showtune version of Jingle Bell Rock that they choreographed with your slap bracelets this morning. I am trying to get them to agree to me sending you a video of it, but they want to perfect the routine first.

  4. Wow, that was really good. In working my kid’s musical, I met some people who worked with Darren in the theater program here at UofM. They didn’t have good things to say about him, but methinks there’s some jealousy abound. He’s very talented, though. Must be the half-Filipino part.

By the way, I nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award. I’m a lukewarm about the award itself, but if anyone’s deserving of a shout out, it’s your site.

And thanks for the Christmas wishes and the slap bands. Lotso fun with those here.

    1. Get out!! Curiosity is getting the better of me on this one…

Wow – thank you so much, John! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and that the slap bracelets have brought only joy and not injuries.

    1. Oh, Country Wife, where do I begin?? Then again, you might not want to know who Darren Criss is. You’ll never be the same. In addition to being my Second Husband-to-be, he is on the show “Glee” and about to make his Broadway debut in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” (which I’m going to see on Jan 7th!!). He has a music album out and also started a theater company (StarKid) at the Univ of Michigan (where he graduated). Totally sigh-worthy.

I hope you had a WONDERFUL Christmas! Wait’ll you see the pics in my next post…slap bracelets everywhere! Oh and please do email me an address if you’d like some – I’d love to send slap bracelets out to SD!

    1. Thanks, Marta, I sure did, and I hope you did, too! So glad they got to you safe and sound – I’m thrilled that the ‘new millennium’ kids appreciate slap bracelets as much as I did (er, do!). 🙂

  5. I feel like you succeeded in this post with high marks… mostly because it really didn’t seem like the post was for me at all. He does have a great voice though, doesn’t he. My “spiked eggnog” (egg nog is already supposed to be full of booze so do you really need to “spike” it?) was delicious.

    1. Excellent! LOL! I know. His talent cannot be denied. I cannot WAIT to see him live on Broadway next weekend – he’s going to bring down the house.

Oh, man, I’m so glad you haven’t had the misfortune of encountering ‘unadorned’ egg nog, as I often have. Cheers to you!

  6. How the heck did I miss this?!

Well, at least my December 27th is a little merrier as a result! 😉

Hope your Christmas was very, very merry. ♥

    1. Deb! You haven’t missed much, LOL, I’ve been woefully absent from the blogosphere since Christmas Eve! We had a very merry holiday and I can’t wait to post some of the pics to prove it 🙂

By the way – not sure if you’re interested in slap bracelets, but I’d love to send some to you if you are!
